Affirmly Privacy Policy

Affirmly does not collect personal data on any server, and it has no account or sign-up. The following is stored only in Affirmly's local storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us, and we have no server that could receive it:

• The lines you keep in your Collection.
• The affirmations you write yourself, including any category tag.
• Your category mix and how much of it is your own words.
• Your reminders (times, categories and the morning nudge), theme, font pairing, text size and language.
• The days you opened your practice, used only for the counts shown in the app, such as Your month.

Affirmly has no analytics and no crash reporting. The app uses the internet only for ads (see Advertising), for the optional Pro purchase (see Purchases), and for links you choose to open, such as this policy or our website when you send feedback.

Since we do not collect any user data, there is no personal information for us to use or process. Your lines, words and settings stay on your device and are used only to power the features inside the app, such as your practice, reminders, widgets and Your month.

We do not share any of your lines, words or settings with third parties, because we do not collect them. A line leaves your device only when you share it yourself, for example as a share card through your phone's share sheet.

The words you write stay yours. The text of your own affirmations is never sent with an advertising request or a purchase, and never leaves your device unless you share it or include it in a backup you export.

Affirmly shows ads supplied by Google AdMob and its mediation partners Unity Ads, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) and Liftoff (Vungle) on a small number of screens. Ads never appear inside the practice, in the editor where you write your own words, or on any widget. A rewarded video plays only when you tap to unlock a seasonal set.

To serve ads, these companies may access a device advertising identifier and limited technical information (such as device model, operating system and approximate location derived from your IP address). Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states), Google's consent form asks you before any ad is requested, and Me › About Affirmly › Ad settings lets you change that choice at any time. Ads may be personalised only as the choice you make allows. On iPhone and iPad, Affirmly does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you: ads there are not personalised.

Each company handles this data under its own privacy policy: Google, Unity Ads and ironSource and Liftoff. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.

Affirmly Pro is an optional one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks the seasonal sets. The store processes the payment, and Affirmly never sees your payment details.

On Android, the purchase goes through Google Play Billing; Affirmly stores only whether Pro is unlocked, and you can restore it with your Google Play account. On iPhone and iPad, the App Store purchase is verified by our purchase partner RevenueCat under an anonymous ID the app creates, with no account and nothing that identifies you. RevenueCat receives your purchase history for this app (not linked to your identity and not used for tracking) so Pro can be restored; see the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device; nothing is sent from a server. Affirmly asks for notification permission only on the Reminders screen, when you add a reminder or turn on the morning nudge, never at launch. If you decline, every other part of the app keeps working.

The Android home-screen widget shows lines from data the app keeps on your device; it makes no network requests and never shows ads.

Affirmly does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.

A backup is a file you export through your phone's share sheet and keep wherever you choose; it contains your kept lines, your own words and your mix. Restoring reads only the file you pick. Affirmly never uploads a backup anywhere.

Because your content lives on your device, you control it directly: remove a kept line or a written affirmation in the app at any time, or uninstall Affirmly to delete all of it at once. We do not retain any of it on external servers.

Where a consent choice applies to advertising, you can change it from Ad settings in the app.

Affirmly is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.

Affirmly offers kind words for your days. It is not therapy, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional care. If things feel heavy beyond hard-day heavy, a professional can help.

If Affirmly's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the change ships, and the store listing's data disclosures will be updated with it. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
