Your privacy matters. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Introduction

Welcome to MindFlow. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your information when you use our mobile application, MindFlow, available on Google Play and the App Store.

By using MindFlow, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our application. We take your privacy seriously and strive to ensure that your personal information is protected.

Information We Collect

MindFlow does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your personal data on our own servers. Your maps, ideas, tasks, pictures and settings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us. MindFlow shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects some data directly from the app in order to show ads, and in-app purchases are handled by the app stores, as described below.

Camera, Photos and Files

You can add a picture to an idea. If you choose Take photo, MindFlow asks for camera access and uses the camera only to take that photo; if you choose a picture from your photo library, only the picture you pick is read. Either way, the picture is copied into MindFlow's own storage on your device so it stays with your map; it is not uploaded. Removing or replacing the picture deletes that copy, and uninstalling MindFlow deletes all of them. When you import an outline (OPML, Markdown or plain text), the file you pick is read on your device to create a new map. On Android, the home-screen widgets show the titles of your recent maps and a short summary of each; that data stays on your device. You can turn off camera and photo access at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

We do not receive your personal data, so there is no information for us to use or process. Mind mapping works entirely on your device; an internet connection is used only for ads, in-app purchases and, on Android, Google Play's own update check. Exports (images, PDFs, Markdown, text outlines, OPML and map cards) are files you create and share yourself.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal data ourselves. Advertising: to serve, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its mediation partners Unity Ads, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) and Liftoff (Vungle) collect data from your device, including your device advertising identifier, your IP address (from which an approximate location may be derived), your interactions with the app and its ads, and diagnostic information; this data is encrypted in transit. Ads may be personalized only as your choices allow: where your region requires consent (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) you are asked first, and in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data; you can change these choices at any time from the privacy options in the app's Settings. On iOS we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and ads are not personalized. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings. See the privacy policies of Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy), Unity Ads and ironSource (https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy) and Liftoff (https://liftoff.ai/privacy-policy/), and how Google uses information from apps that use its services (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Purchases: payments for MindFlow Pro are processed by Google Play or the App Store; on iOS, purchase status is verified through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app identifier and your purchase records (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy). Your maps stay on your device.

Security of Your Information

Your maps and the pictures you add to them are stored locally on your device, and data sent to our advertising and purchase partners is encrypted in transit.

Retention of Your Information

We do not retain any personal information on our own servers. All application data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time in the app or by uninstalling the application. Data collected by Google AdMob and RevenueCat is retained according to their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take steps to remove such information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
